Forms and the registration flow¶
Event Time uses your own HubSpot forms, so every registration, waitlist signup and question lands in your HubSpot contacts.
Modules with a form¶
| Module | Typical form |
|---|---|
| Coming soon | Waitlist signup (email only) |
| Contact form | Contact, speaker application or sponsor enquiry |
| Newsletter signup | Newsletter or "get updates" form |
Choose the form in the module's Form field. Create forms in Marketing › Forms.
A complete registration flow¶
- Before tickets go on sale: publish the Coming soon page with a waitlist form and a countdown to the sale date.
- Tickets: link the buttons in the Pricing tickets module to your ticket provider, a registration form page or a HubSpot payment link.
- After registration: in the form's settings in HubSpot, set What should happen after a visitor submits this form? to Redirect to another page and choose your Registration thank you page.
- Thank-you page: set the event details and the Add to calendar start and end times so visitors can save the event to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Note
Forms take their look from the theme automatically. You don't need to style them in the form editor.
Countdowns¶
The hero, countdown and coming soon modules have an Event start date and time field. Pick the date and time in the date picker. When the countdown reaches zero, it shows the Text after the countdown ends instead (for example "The event is live").
Warning
Each countdown has its own date. If your event date changes, update it in every module that shows a countdown.
